Guy has a wealth of business management and execution experience, with a track record of running medical start-ups.
Prior to becoming CEO of Matoke, Guy was CEO of Leaders in Oncology Care a subsidiary of HCA International and its ex-US cancer network. Guy has a degree in law from the University of Oxford and qualified as asolicitor at Linklaters, before spending several years with Credit Suisse inits equity corporate finance team.
Chief Executive Officer
Will studied Natural Sciences at Bath University and began his career as a management consultant for Accenture. He worked with a very wide variety of clients including Deutsche Bank, BBC, Thales, and BT, his roles were across strategy, estimation, planning and delivery.
More recently he was CEO of a direct to consumer business, The London Sock Company, before joining Guy in the medical world. He brings planning and delivery rigor as well as strong business strategy and management skills.
Executive Director
Andy Currie is a Non-Executive Director of Matoke® Holdings Ltd and is Managing Partner of Atlantra (previously Catalyst Corporate Finance).
With over 25 years in corporate finance, Andy specializes in Human Capital businesses, including consultancies and professional services firms, and advises private equity, bank consortia and complex shareholder structures. A Leicester University alumnus, Andy qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and worked in industry with a listed building services firm before co-founding Catalyst in 1998.
Non-Executive Director
Neil studied Chemistry at the University of Manchester and began his career working in Research & Development for a large FMCG company.
Neil has spent the last 15+ years within the medical device & OTC Healthcare sectors, heading up R&D, Manufacturing, Project Management and Business Transformation teams. He specialises in the design, development & commercialisation of wound care products across global markets.
Chief Technology Officer
Tom holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and has over a decade of experience in healthcare technologies.
His work at the Institute of Translational Medicine bridged laboratory research and clinical application. Collaborating with medical device companies, he developed innovative therapeutic delivery systems for infection control. Tom has published in high-impact journals, holds multiple patents, and now leads R&D at Matoke Holdings Ltd, advancing Reactive Oxygen technology formats.
Head of Research and Development
David has a degree in Microbiology and German, a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Manchester and undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin.
David has nearly two decades of experience developing and clinically validating medical devices and IVDs, including PCR-based point-of-care tests that gained FDA clearance and CLIA waiver. At Matoke, he designs and leads clinical trials to demonstrate the performance and efficacy of Matoke Polymer Matrix.
Clinical Director
Jacinta is an experienced CFO who specialises in working with SMEs, with a focus on providing strategic financial advice to growing companies, as well as developing long-term market and cash flow forecasts.
She has worked across multiple industries from financial services to venture capital to healthcare.
Fractional CFO
James has experience in setting up key operating functions in early-stage companies and delivering strategic analysis projects.
Before moving into the medical device industry, James was a medical device investment analystfor more than 8 years, covering the US and European medical device markets at Atlantic Equities andprior tothat at US investment bank, Stifel.James has a degree in Biology from the University of Bristol and is a CFA Charterholder.
Commercial Development Lead
Zaynab Ali (Formulation Development Scientist) Zaynab studied Chemistry (MSc) at the University of Birmingham with an industrial placement.
She researched polymeric materials in the Arno Lab before working in FMCG product development. Zaynab joined Matoke in 2024 as a Formulation Development Scientist. Zainab Mehmood holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry from Nottingham Trent University. She specialises in skin-focused product development and joined Matoke in June 2025 as an Advanced Wound Care Scientist.
Advanced Wound Care Scientist
Zaynab studied Chemistry (MSc) at the University of Birmingham with an industrial placement.
She completed her final year project in the Arno Lab researching advanced polymeric materials before working as a product development scientist in FMCG. Zaynab joined Matoke in 2024 as a Formulation Development Scientist, responsible for product optimisation, material characterisation and lab scale manufacture.
Formulation Development Scientist
Nicola studied Medicinal Chemistry with Pharmacology at University of Liverpool.
She beganher career in medical device field as an Associate Advanced Woundcare Scientist working onnew product development, design control and change control projects. With over 5 years experience in research and development and driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes through advancing medical technologies, Nicola now holds the role of NPD Engineerat Matoke to develop Reactive Oxygen technology.
NPD Engineer
Natasha holds an MSc in Medical Biotechnology and Business Management and a BSc inBiomedical Science from the University of Warwick.
With over seven years of Regulatory Affairs experience in both IVDs and Medical Devices, she has led six successful 510(k) submissions tothe FDA. She specialises in navigating complex regulatory landscapes to support product development and market access.
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Eleanor completed an MSc in Microbiology and Infection from the University of Birmingham.
She began her career as a Sterility Scientist at a contract research organisation, where she gained hands-on experience in aseptic techniques and microbiological assays. Driven by apassion for research, Eleanor joined Matoke in 2023, where she now plays a key role in evaluating the biological efficacy of Reactive Oxygen® technology against clinically significant ESKAPE pathogens in wound infections.
Biological Scientist
Annette is Head of Quality Assurance for Matoke Holdings. Her background is in microbiology, but she has worked in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, in regulatory, quality and manufacturing management, for over 30 years.
Currently, she works with a diverse range of companies, providing regulatory compliance expertise and is also eligible to act as a QP.
